Dr. Katie Hennessy is a 1989 graduate of the University of Minnesota and is the founder of our clinics. She is interested in advanced internal medicine, complicated ears, dentistry, advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgery including TPLO. Hobbies include stained glass, loom knitting, photography, skiing, water sports, camping, and hiking. Dr. Katie’s family includes husband Sid, children Emily and Neil, and furry members Mandy the dog and two new kittens.

Dr. Candace Born is a 1999 graduate of Iowa Sate University. She is interested in internal medicine, dentistry and has extensive training in Ultrasound Imaging. Hobbies include raising kids, gardening, working with her Pony and Miniature Donkey, and involvement with her church. Dr. Born’s family includes husband Kevin and sons: Drew,Christian, and Ethan,in Janesville. |

Dr. Steve Elwood is a 1982 graduate of Iowa State University. He has special interests in soft tissue laser surgery, internal medicine, ears, and dentistry. His hobbies include fishing, scuba diving, karate, and skiing. Dr. Steve’s family includes his wife Patti, children Justin, Joshua, and Jacqueline, and many pets.

Dr. Heidi Buytaert is a 2007 graduate of the University of Minnesota. She has a keen intesrest in breeding and fertility problems. Other areas of interest include ultrasound, dentistry and dermatology. Dr. Heidi lives in Owatonna with her husband Dale, two children Holly and Ben, and 3 lovely Englsih Springer Spaniels that she shows for conformation. |

Dr. Brad Prestemon is a graduate of Luther College and recieved his DVM from Iowa State in 1995. He enjoys working with pet owners in the areas of preventive medicine, LASER surgery, dentistry and conditions of the skin and ears. Dr. Prestemon believes that preventive medicine allows us to truley make and impact on the quality of life of pets and their owners. Dr. Brad and his wife Kari have four children and enjoys family activites such as biking, fishing, gardening, and basketball. |
