Vaccinations and Well-Care: Preventive medicine is stressed. We abide by the AAHA and AAFP guidelines for vaccine recommendations for all pets including cats dogs and ferrets. The examination is stressed as the most important part of your visit. In fact, routine core vaccines are free with the exam. Our caring staff takes time to go over home care for optimum health for your pet.
Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We are equipped to do advanced orthopedics including TPLO, cruciate surgeries, bone plating, bone pinning, and most joint surgeries, and complicated soft tissue surgery. We also offer LASER surgery to increase the comfort post-operatively for your pet during routine spays, neuters and declaws.
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics including isoflourane and sevoflourane gas to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patients vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. We have six CVT's on staff who all have advanced training to assure the best safety for your pet.
Imaging Services: Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders. We also have a Ultrasound imaging machine that we can use for urinary tract disorders, reproduction, abdominal scans, cardiology and more. Dr. Candace has received advanced training and is available most days to perform these if needed.
Fertility Work-ups: Accurate ovulation timing, ultrasound exams, cytology, artificial insemination, brucellosis testing, uterine culture and cytology, semen evaluations, surgical inseminations, pregnancy testing, infertility evaluations, whelping and well-puppy care are among some of the offerings we specialize in.
Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions, root canals, vital pulpotomies, and oral surgery. We utilize a 10 step approach to sedation dental care recommended by Veterinary Dental Specialists. Routinely we promote teeth brushing and daily dental care during yearly health visits.
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, microbiology, and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet.
Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
Bathing: Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.
Emergency Care: Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies. We have four doctors on staff that share emergency call handled by dialing a beeper. You should be able to reach us within minutes if necessary.
